In a private ceremony, India's top javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra wed Himani Mor. Many were taken aback when the 27-year-old posted pictures from his idyllic wedding on social media.
Before posting the pictures, Chopra didn't give much thought to the momentous milestone in his life because it broke the internet right away.
Sportstar claims that Himani, Neeraj's wife, is from Larsauli, Haryana, and went to Little Angels School in Panipat for her education. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science and physical education from Delhi University's Miranda House before relocating her base of operations abroad for her studies.
At the McCormack Isenberg School of Management, she is working on a Master of Science in sports management and administration. She went to Southeastern Louisiana University as well.
She has served as Franklin Pierce University's part-time assistant coach while playing tennis. She is currently a graduate assistant at Amherst College, where she oversees the tennis team.
The gold winner from the Tokyo Olympics shared the news of his marriage on social media.
"With my family, I started a new chapter in my life. We are thankful for all the blessings that have led us to this point in time. Chopra posted images from the wedding ceremony along with the caption, "Bound by love, happily ever after."
According to Chopra's uncle Bhim, who spoke to PTI, the pair had left for their honeymoon after getting married in the nation. At the moment, Mor is studying in the United States.
"Yes, two days ago, the marriage took place in India. "I am unable to identify the location," Bhim said from his Haryana hamlet of Khandra, which is close to Panipat.
"The girl is studying in the United States and hails from Sonipat. I don't know where they are heading, but they have left the nation for their honeymoon. When asked about the unexpected development, Bhim, who stays with the Olympic double medallist at Khandra, stated, "We wanted to keep it like that."
