My ideal 2025 product would be a Google Pixel smart ring; here's why.

Although 2024 seemed to be the year that smart rings made a significant impact on the wearable market, there was one significant and noteworthy omission.

My top wish for the category in 2025 is the Pixel Ring, which Google hasn't yet released. Yes, a lot of people are watching to see what Apple will do if it releases a competitor to Oura, but if Google straightens up, I'd probably buy theirs.

Although I'll be watching for the Galaxy Ring 2 next year, Samsung's first-generation Galaxy Ring was my personal favorite of 2024 and a great example of what Google can do.

The Android manufacturer has a history of producing high-quality wearables. With its stunning design, features, and ease of use, the Pixel Watch—now in its third generation—has been my personal favorite on the market.

Remember that Fitbit is owned by Google, so they have years of experience with wearable technology. I have no doubt that Google can create a desirable smart ring by utilizing the excellent features of the Fitbit and Pixel Watch intellectual property.

One of the most important things Google needs to do well in order to succeed—not just impress me—is to have a visually appealing design that, in contrast to most competitors, doesn't break easily.

Google's AI created the images in this post, and I think the top image is my favorite. Picture it in a variety of other playful Pixel colors.
