Christmas PieCaken

Ingredients Pies: Store-bought or homemade (2 pies, such as pecan and apple). Cake Batter: Your choice of spice, vanilla, or chocolate cake batter (enough for two layers).

Frosting: Buttercream, cream cheese frosting, or whipped cream. Decorations: Holiday sprinkles, crushed peppermint, sugared cranberries, or chocolate shavings.

Prepare the Cake Layers: Preheat your oven according to your cake mix instructions. Grease and line two 9-inch cake pans. Spread a thin layer of cake batter at the bottom of each pan.

Add the Pies: Gently place one pie into each pan on top of the batter. Cover with the remaining cake batter, ensuring the pies are fully covered.

Bake: Bake for the time specified for your cake recipe, typically 35-45 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a skewer into the cake layer (not the pie). Let cool completely.

Assemble the PieCaken: Place one cake-pie layer on a serving plate. Spread a thick layer of frosting on top, then add the second cake-pie layer. Frost the entire PieCaken with your choice of frosting.

Decorate: Add holiday-themed decorations like sugared cranberries, sprinkles, or crushed candy canes.
